they're home all day. they're bored with the same old, same old, one sunny day after another... some of them would rather die than do crafts with mom, but a couple of them have been bored enough to join me in making these cool felted rocks and tissue paper bowls. of course, some mad science is always fun. we got a chunk of dry ice with a delivery and that provided entertainment for an entire day. Jacob was quite heartbroken when he awoke to a melted puddle, i think he was hoping it would last forever. and of course, where there are boys, there always has to be fire and explosions right? just a few more weeks of trying to quell the unbearable boredom. i keep telling them - embrace it - pencils and books will be here all too soon.

Oh, I so hear you! My kids look at me like I'm an alien when I ask them if they want to craft. My son will help me with computer stuff and offer suggestions if he reads anything I wrote, but that is it. My daughter will sketch and watch Project Runway. We plan to hit the thrift shop on Wednesday, to see what we can score. Craft with me...not likely. She use to sew...I would love to get her involved in it again. Perhaps this fall~
ReplyDeleteI love what all of you made and the dry ice does sound fun! Yes, boys need noise, fire and science type crafts ;D
